Filipe, came to the UK over 55 years ago and began his career in 1967 with the Hilton Group of Hotel where he commenced his employment as a service waiter moving up the ladder to the Banqueting Operations Manager, a post which he held for over 20 years.

He was also involved with training Silver spoon staff and well as wine waiters to a high calibre, so he knows his chateau talbot from his Chateau Lafite.

He has served many celebrities and royalties from HRH Elizabeth II, Prince Philip to the younger royals William and Prince Harry. Celebrities, from the Beatles, Tom Jones and James Bond Actors from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig. Politian from Harold Wilson to David Camron and Ronald Regan to name a few.

Sports persons, cricketers, rugby players, served prime ministers who attended during the Olympics as the Hilton was the headquarters for the Olympics held in the UK.

Filipe retired 12 years ago and as the hotel missed him so much, they asked him to come back and continue to provide the hospitality services on behalf of the Hilton group and he was awarded a 50 year service in 2017 and the Hilton Bali celebrated 52 years of service for Filipe, and he now serves an ambassador for the Hilton group of hotels.
